The two (2) best bits of the very good w'end: (1) the huge bright full-double-rainbow over the green fields of Salinas w/shafts of sunlight streaming through the clouds and (2) watching six (6) mother-pup harbor seal combos play on the sand in Pt Lobos...and then watch another one become a mom and then half-hour later take the newly popped pup for its first swim in the water. Truly glorious. So much goodness this w'end...cannot even begin to relate it.

My week's gotten quite busy all of a sudden. Have been elected as university-tour-guide-provider for my step-niece who'll be in Norway next week (AFS) so won't have next year (Jr year) to do same and wants to check out a few places before applying the following year (when she'll be insanely busy doing school-stuff and hula-stuff and Tahitian-dance stuff. So long as she keeps her hair long, she's been invited to join the company (an honor) and dance at Tahaiti Fete summer after next - very exciting.) So, o'morrow I pick her up from LAX in the morn then cruise out to UC-Riverside and UC-Irvine. Wed'll we'll take a D-land break and then resume w/UCLA on Thursday. She'll then fly out from LAX Th eve. Whew!

I've also tentatively been elected chaperone for the step-neices' cross-country train trip (Bay Area to NYC) next summer (late July/early August 2006). So many possibilities.

EDIT: Due to complex logistical nightmares, my tour-guide duties have been postponed 'til further notice. Now I can get done what I'd originally intended to get done over the next few days! And I can sleep in a bit o'morrow (Tu) morn.
