There'd been a dearth of't in my life. I aimed to fix this, and'm succeeding wildly. Flew to PHX last Fri (1 March 2013). LJ-free LR picked me up and drove us to the Desert Botanical Garden, where, as [livejournal.com profile] 1annie1 declared on our first visit there about a decade ago, it appears as if Dr. Seuss designed most of the flora. We enjoyed the first of several marvelous desert sunsets, dinner al fresco, and music beneath the stars courtesy of the the Domingo DeGrazia Spanish Band. Billed as Spanish guitar, TMM the fiddler stole the show.

The following day (this past Saturday), LR & I returned to another of our familiar - if only rarely visited - stomping grounds: AZ RenFest. Saw various good shows (Ded Bob, great falconry, &c.) and more great live music, including a fab set by Tartanic. I'd most recently heard 'em at Southern (CA) RenFaire so was thrilled to find 'em playing elsewhere.

Last night, [livejournal.com profile] delerium3 joined me once again for the
March Fourth Marching Band's b-day show (03/04). Great fun!

Dunno if'n I'll make it out this evening for the weekly FREE Pagan Jug Band 6-8pm Tuesday show at Blue Monk, but it's on the menu. This Thursday, [livejournal.com profile] delerium3 will rejoin me for another show: Great Big Sea at the Aladdin. Then on Monday (03/11), we'll return downtown for Flogging Molly at the Roseland.

Not bad for the first week-and-a-half of the month... ;-P Also gonna return to hiking this week - Flower Frenzy 2013 - and studying (more sensibly this go-'round). WheeZoom!

So, here's an amusing post: Star Trek as RPG.

To accompany it, here's an amusing photo:
