WA Weekend
Aug. 6th, 2012 10:25 pmWow. It's a 3-hour drive to Bellevue (4 hours to Monroe) from the Hive. I drove these regularly, many times monthly, for several YEARS. Hard to believe that it'd been a full year since I drove either of these routes. I've come a long way in staying closer to home...phew!
Anyway, this past weekend featured a very nice return trip to WA, both for wedding-related activities and other stuff, too. Attended a lovely wedding of very good peeps, and also got in some fine kittenhead 'n' child-time, heard good live music, visited w/lotsa good folks, and enjoyed a very nice afternoon 'n' evening at (and in) the water at Rocky Bay whilst Portland was hotHotHOT.
Right before the weekend, I toured the Portland Japanese & Rose Gardens w/an outta town cuz and a local friend o' hers. Despite trying to figure out best light-settings and taking numerous same-framed shots that came out either way too dark or too light, I managed to snap a few decent shots w/my iPhone camera.
Upcomings include: putting away the rest of the camping gear from FaerieWorlds (pics here under cut), prepping for potluck picnic for FREE Wanderlust Circus show this Th (6pm, 08/09/12) at WA Park/Rose Garden Amphitheater, more PDX shuttling, helping
ferociousbcycad w/art salon for GearCon, making arrangements to travel to and attend the next (final?) wedding of the season/year, ditto Bay Area b-day celebration stuff (my PDX celebration will happen next summer...yeah, my b-day season lasts nearly a year ;-). WheeZoom!
