The New Normal
Oct. 30th, 2011 01:41 pmWorking on it. Settling into it. Making it so. And so it goes...
Went out yesterday to enjoy the final day of the Nikki McClure art show at the Contemporary Craft Museum. Really good stuff there (both her art and t'other exhibits). Then baked butterscotch brownies and almond butter cake to take to parties. Had a good time w/folks at a couple of Hallowe'en parties last night, all dressed up as a manifestation of Fall. Did trad'l brunch at Madison's w/L&S this morning. Now back home on this drizzly but not cold Sunday (62 out is quite nice, actually), w/laundry going, pumpkins to carve, shoes 'n' boots to waterproof, music to blast all the while, andandand
It's not a bad life at all. Dunno what the future will hold, but then again, I never really did...and for now, I'm okay w/this. I'm looking forward to next weekend, when M comes to visit, as well as the following weekend, when the 'rents (Mom & J) will come up for a visit & fambily thingie, and H(&N?) come down for a visit & mini-vacation.
After that I'll take off for much of (all?) the rest of the month, heading to CA for my step-grandma's 90th b-day dinner (SoCal) one weekend and then spending the following weekend doing T-giving w/other 'rents (Mal & Al) in the Bay Area (and possibly another one as well on the Friday), Dickens on the Saturday, andandand
Balancing zooming w/doing and being.
