Live Music = Love
May. 15th, 2010 12:43 amLegend has landed at the Hive. It's nice. I really prefer not living alone. He got in around 6:30pm. We offloaded stuff, he showered (after driving 8 or so hours up from Arcata today and shifting a mess of stuff into a storage unit he really wanted one before heading out again), then we took off for dinner (yumbo) and music at Doug Fir. Around 10:15pm, after Boy Eats Drum Machine ended, I felt quite sleepy. A bit after 10:30pm, all thoughts of sleep were GONE and I was moving 'n' grooving and thoroughly enjoying That 1 Guy.
He was freaking amazing. He built his instrument, this odd pipe thing (his "Magic Pipe"). He wailed and rocked and grooved and blew us all away. I danced and swayed and had a blast. We hung out w/
ferociousbcycad &
poeticlioness and s'more friends of theirs (new to me, 'cept I think I met at least one of 'em before, mebbe this past Hallowe'en?) who I hope to see again.
Today was good even before this evening. I had good walkies up to and in Mt Tabor Park. I walked non-stop up all 96 steps TWICE. Then I got some good gardening in and figured out what herb starts I needed to procure from o'morrow Farmer's Market where they sell locally grown organics at good prices: thyme, oregano, and basil. Everything else has come back from last year, which pleases me quite a bit.
Tired now. Gonna shower, crawl into bed, and knit the raveled sleeve of care...
