Damn My Computer

Figured out it's my computer, not LJ. All I can do is update my journal (which requires first logging on then re-typing my username & password for each entry). I cannot read locked posts - or even see if'n there're any there. I cannot reply as if from me, only as Anon (keeping me from replying to many folks' posts at all). I've restarted, turned it all the way off then all the way on again. I've cleared the cookie cache. I'm annoyed and not sure what to do. Safari freezes up on LJ, so I use Explorer. Firefox doesn't wanna download 'cause my system's too ancient (10.2.8). Mebbe I need to upgrade. Grumble grumble groan.

Meanwhile, the cold I thought I was over ('cept for a continually running nose) has decided to return w/sore throat, just a glimmer in the wee hours then definitely present upon awakening. More grumbling and whining. Today I get to do laundry. Oooh. Pout.

LJ keeps you logged in by using cockies. so check you coockie settings.

I have no idea what "check your cookie settings" means? What SHOULD it say? What should it NOT be set to? Off now, will try to deal with later. Frustration abounds... 'Preciate your attempted helpfulness, but I need details, not off-the-cuffness. - mle
