THAT was easy. All the fuss and bother of sending off transcript requests to five (5) schools doesn't seem to have been necessary, all posted paperwork requirements to the contrary. I'll be taking Spanish 1 at SMC next semester (which doesn't start 'til February 13, 2006) from 11:10am-12:40pm on T, Th & Fri. Who's fluent enough I can practice with/on?

Maritza is probably fluent, although I'm not sure. I am also hopefully taking classes next semester, I can not register until Dec. 12. We will be in BB. DON'T let me forget. I have turned in all the peperwork so I can do it over the phone.

I've noted it in the PaperPalm (tm). You could do it on the computer if'n you preferred, the library's just down the road from the dump and they've got free internet access. Wotcha gonna take? Yeah, thx - Maritza's a good one to practice with/on. (She's even taken Spanish Lit, not that I'll be able to conduct more than basic conversation for quite some time.)

J works in East LA. He's "gutter" fluent. Don't go looking for elegant grammar, or strictly Castilian vocab, but he's got a good WORKING use of the language.

Yeah, we've talked about this. He doesn't bother conjugating verbs, which'll get in the way some (hopefully I won't pick up bad habits) but otherwise he's definitely one resource.
