Now that the plan's laid, I best get back on the road. Yes, I live to drive. Visited & toured the Buena Park Wax Museum (closing at the end of month) earlier today. Generally great sets and costumes, although the wax figures themselves varied widely and wildly in quality. Some of the oldest ones (e.g., Laurel & Hardy) were FAB, ditto some of the newer ones (e.g., Donny & Marie), but some looked just plain awful, although some of this could well be b'c of bad makeup for the lighting they're under nowadays. Some were real enough I expected 'em to start moving and felt a bit worried/odd. John Wayne's was too real-looking (all leatherlike and all) and quite spooky. Apparently Vincent Price liked to stand in for his (on the set of House of Wax, appropriately enough) now and again, which must've been a hoot & a holler! Okay, now to gather up laundry & pumpkins & booze and begin tonight's Trilogy of Terror.
