Before I Forget

mlerulesThe times that things seem the rosiest, when I feel at my best, perhaps/likely when I'm the happiest: when I alternate 'tween slow-times (spent reading, relaxing, hanging out) and busy-times w/projects coming up - planning, packing, organizing for something in particular (everyday carp for myself doesn't seem to qualify) which'll happen and then be over so I can move onto the next one and/or helping others w/their projects (often even if everyday for them).
Not sure how or why, but it pleases me greatly to read through catalogues, laughing at the descriptive blurbs for various ridiculous products available, circling stuff & things I want/need, seeing how trends shift & flow, wondering how these things are decided and who decides 'em and what it all means anyway.
Driving home, a few blocks from my place, a sight brought an upwelling of happiness into my chest/soul/wherever happiness resides/takes shape before it diffuses through my system/psyche: up in the sky I spied the just-past full moon shining through the clouds and down on the ground the bright blue & red lights atop a police cruiser (SM K9 unit). Dunno why, but my spirits soared at the sight of these two sets of blazing lights representing anti-respectively the power and authority of Earth-bound devices & systems and the power and authority of stuff (mostly) beyond our ken & control.
To Do now or at least soon:
- Put away stuff (stack o' books, including more Chas de Lindt (sp) and the newest Neil Gaimon (sp) that![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
delerium3 has (sup)plied me with - SCORE!; exotic foodstuffs; launders; o-nite bag; etc.)
- Bring up the rest of the carp from the car (pumpkins, fleece, misc stuff & things - I can't even remember) and put it away
- List what's to do and acquire over the next few daze (compile from e-mails, LJs, paper & mental lists into one master list on the 'puter if'n I'm sensible - it DOES happen, damnit!)
- Clean cat box
- Bathe (long hot w/book and/or quickie shower)
- Get gits for the nieces and mail 'em THIS WEEK
- Find autograph book & fat pen for D-ney characters for Th (weather permitting)
- Keep working on Alice In Wonderland Gone Bad H'ween costume
- Call Jimbo and hang out, ditto Erik, ditto Julie, Esq.
