Still not as far along as I'd like, but further along than before. Progress is good, albeit slow and unsteady.

Just back earlier this week from a delightful couple of weeks house-sitting on Kauai with a Dear Friend. Spent many a quiet morning hour on the lanai with a pot of tea (me) and coffee (him), watching and listening to the local chickens/roosters, awaiting the sun to hit the tree where all the geckos lived, delighting in the warmth and lushness of it all.

Balanced some good exploration with quiet days of rest and relaxation. Visited Lydgate Park/Beach several times. We took folding chairs, set up shop at an empty spot, and variously lunched, read, wrote postcards, and stared off at the ocean/clouds/sunset. Drove all the way the West side of the island early one morning to marvel at fabulous views before they were obscured by clouds. I walked up steep pathways to several outlooks, then let the Dear Friend admire a couple when I was done walking for the day.

Returned home to another Dear Friend visiting for a big birthday. Had a fine time with much laugher, talking, and adventures. Went wine tasting (in town), heard live music, walked some - I seem to do fine with multiple 2-block short walks in a day. Had a few folks over for a BBQ and sat outside for hours since the weather finally cooperated.

Returning to in-person PT o'morrow after three (3) weeks off. Hoping to get my Rx re-upped for more, since they seem to help with my strength and stamina. Will continue doing 'em at home, too.

Met a friend today for lunch, coffeeshop time, and then for a movie with other friends, too. Now feeling exhausted. I guess I can do a lot more than a couple months ago, but not yet as much as I could back pre-December ouchie and surgery.

Thanks for the mini-travelogue. Your days seem very full to me and, having not been to Hawaii, I appreciate your descriptions.

sounds like a lot of progress! Glad things are moving in the direction you want even if not as fast as you might like. Hope it continues in that direction.
