It's been a while since I've felt this good. The facets of myself I most enjoy have come to the fore today: mild mania expressed in going down musical Rabbit Holes while working on CD "mix-tapes" after a day of getting stuff done, spending time with some of my fave peeps, and taking a walk at Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden. The pollinator garden's going great guns, blooming wildly and attracting pollinators galore (yellow-faced bumbles, honey bees, white moths, tiny pale brown moths, &c.). Two dark red rhodies remained, althoug with only a few mostly-burnt flowers. Waterfowl have returned after a visit or two with way fewer than I'm used to seeing: mallards, gadwall ducks, wood ducks, a kingfisher flying around, ducklings with the last bits of down still showing, mystery herons?, a flotilla (15) of Canada Geese all lined up in a row. Took a non-standard route to mix it up some, and to keep mainly to the shade given the heat (low 90s today). Stopped several times to sit on benches.

Have found inspiration/motivation and'm thrilled by this fact, as well as with what I'm doing. I have a big bday coming up, and'm looking forward to celebrating for quite some time. My first bday dinner was in Kauai about six (6) months ago. I'll celebrate s'more in SoCal in early 2023, and between now and then - and quite possibly beyond then, too)

Awesome! <3 Have you seen eagles at the rhododendron garden this year? There was a pair nesting there last time I went, but it's been a couple of years.

I've seen 'em several times this year, although not yesterday. They nested again in the garden this year. Sadly, this year's baby eagle egg / hatchling didn't survive.

It's good to feel good! I don't know if this makes me an optimist or pessimist, but I sometimes appreciate even the not-so-good days, because they make me especially appreciate the GOOD days. So, enjoy!
