Tweaked, So Now Savoring the Slowness
Jul. 6th, 2022 01:25 pmSo, I managed to tweak my back late yesterday afternoon / early evening (around 5:30pm when the time-lines waver) while out puttering in the garden. I planted s'more seeds and needed to water them. (You're welcome and/or apologies for the local rain last night and this morning. Sigh..)
Taking a quiet day today. Getting stuff done. Listening to music. Trying not to worry...yet the World's a worrisome place these days. So today I stop for a bit and stay still.
At least the gazebo's all built now. Not mine, mind you. Spent July 3 and 1/2 of the 4th erecting it with friends in their backyard in VAN. A fun project, if a tad wearing. I look forward to socializing there before long. Rain no longer matters, and shade helps with heat. Sweat equity sweetens the savoring.
I had opportunity not long ago to sauna in a cob sauna I'd had a hand in building several years previously. Made a special trip to see the place where I'd spent chunks of time several years ago, not long after moving to the PacNW. Walked all around the property. Saw handiwork I'd completed w/another person important in my life at the time. Pleased we did it solidly enough to have withstood over a decade of WA weather. Added to the weight of my memories of those times - of that time of my life. (Weight used to denote a positive description, indicative of solidarity, of the scales of justice on the side of goodness, blahblahblah) Now I look forward to rewriting folks back into my life, to reweaving the strands of connections built over time into some new fabric. Or something...
