Pleasant Exhaustion

Spent a mightily productive, if exhausting, day in the yard and garden. While the BF weed-wacked the front lawn, I weeded the front plant area and visited Portland Nursery with a Dear Friend to stock up on plants, soil, and seeds. Working together, the BF & I filled up two green-waste bins. While he edged and raked and swept the front, I headed to the backyard to weed (more needs doing), amend soil, top off raised beds, sow seeds (Cosmos & Sunflower), plant dill and basil and two tomatoes (Early Girl and Sweet Millions), and feed and water it all. Now feeling mightily exhausted, but also quite pleased with the progress. Roses're blooming, ditto iris, poppies, and various others. Buds have appeared on the delphinium, foxglove, and kalmia. Looking forward to outdoor time at Hive Magnum, now that the weather's cooperating more and more.
