Procrastination

I made great strides yesterday in de-piling Hive Magnum. So far today, however, I've procrastinated hard. At least I got something done while mostly avoiding the needed To Do's. House-guests arrive Friday for the weekend, so I have some bonus motivation to tidy up some remaining areas in the next few days (coffee and dining room tables). This'll help lots as well w/the next big project: dealing with the desk and ultimately pulling together what's needed for taxes.
Taking a break now to lunch on spinach lasagna. Thankful for past me making a big batch so I can feast on leftovers when I really don't want to cook. Now back to it...
EDIT: Okay, I worked not particularly efficiently, but did manage to reduce the piles significantly. I also took care of some To Do's that surfaced along the way, and even did some dusting. (I abhor dusting.) Finally put away the last of the stuff that'd come out of the built-in back in 2021 when I had to clear everything out for the water remediation for the roof/ceiling leak. It really all needs dusting, but if'n I waited for that to happen, it'd still live on the dining room table.
With the rest of the papers, I aim to recycle lots, and sort the rest into (1) To File (and then DO IT - but this also involves shifting the old files to a box in/for the attic...sigh...), (2) Deal With (which I need to DO, too), and (3) Ignore a while longer. These last items I'd like to do something with and/or about at some point (or not), but aren't time-sensitive.
Feeling better for getting stuff done, even as I still feel I should've done MORE.
