It's not all about the #s, it's about what I can do now that I couldn't do when I began this process back on 09 Nov 2018 (when I tipped the scales at 250 and hurt so much I couldn't take a 1/4 mile walk to visit a waterfall). That being said, I'm SO pleased to have reached my initial # goal of being under 200 lbs by my bday (11 Sept). Weighed in at 199.2 this AM. It's not Weight Watchers (WW) "official," since Mondays are my WW weigh-in days, but I made it here and'll work to stay under until my bday...and then'll keep on going. Next # goal: to weight what it says on my ODL (190). Bonus: Yay for regaining chunks of wardrobe thought lost forever!

Along the way, I've realized how much having a plan helps me in setting and sticking to habits. These days I do AquaFit aka water aerobics on Wednesday AMs, since I like that instructor better than the M & F one. If traveling, the day may shift, but I'll still get in at least one water aerobics class each week. When the weather turns cooler and wetter, I'll increase my AquaFit attendance.

I also take a simple weekly keep-in-shape walk, usually one of my fave 2-mile Forest Park loops. (This also lets me hang out w/friends, even if they're not more hikey.) Looking into finding a 2-mile(ish) walk that's closer to home to increase flexibility in my routine (and for others with less flexie schedules). Mt Tabor Park seems likeliest for this.

Finally, on Fridays (usually), I continue my Do the Entire Wildwood Trail quest (sectionally, not all in one go). Only have three (3) more hikes to go to finish up all 30+ miles of it. Cannot finish before my bday simply because the 3.84 mile trail segment from Pittock Mansion to the Vet's Memorial in WA Park remains closed until they complete the Burnside Overpass. Fingers xd for doing this by the end of 2019, ideally before the 1 year anniversary of my Get Back In Shape So I Can Hike program (09 Nov). I plan to walk the Wildwood Trail again in 2020. Not sure what other goals to set along such lines. Hopefully the Friends of the Columbia Gorge will have another challenge like their Waterfall Wanderlust and Wildflower Whatever-It-Was ;-)

Other milestones to accomplish by the end of the year (or before 09 Nov): hike 2.4 mile Waclellah Falls trail (just re-opened), and hike the 5 mile Multnomah - Weisendanger - Dutch - Faerie - Wahkeena Falls loop. The reward for being able to do them again is actually doing them. WIN!
