Wildflowers!
Jan. 23rd, 2014 01:48 pmDay before yesterday was another gloriously sunny day in the mid/upper-40s.
delerium3 came over and we headed up the Columbia Gorge for a wildflower hike. As we headed Eastward, it became overcast and far cooler. By the time we made it to Rowena Crest view/trailhead, 'twas 32 degrees out w/grey skies. The surrounding hills above us had fresh snow. Had we opted to head up the Tom McCall trail, we'd've likely found snow. Instead, we headed down the Rowena Plateau trail, where we eventually found wildflowers, with help from the newest Mantis, Marvin the Martian.

It's Cold Here On This Planet. Hoping For Wildflowers, But Snow Seems Likelier
