Felt inspired today, so although it got quite difficult at times to keep on swimming (breaks did happen), I think I managed to get lots done. Seems like I must've gotten lots done, if the stack of boxes I built from all the empties tossed down the basement stairs over the course of the day is any indication. Eventually everything will get to where it/they will live. At least some things though now reside in a bag/box heading to Goodwill for someone else to enjoy.

Managed to chuck out a mess of old papers today, too, which felt a combo of oh-so-good to have 'em gone and ohmigawd embarrassed for having held onto them for so long without having culled 'em before. *sigh* Better late than never, babysteps, and other aphorisms meant to make me feel a bit better 'bout it all. ;-P It'll be a full recycling bin week, so whoo-hoo!

Meanwhile, realized earlier today that Astoria's become a classic spot to which I take the most special folks in my life, much like Paris was when I lived in England (1985-86). Feels good and healing to have Astoria continue as a special spot in my life. 'Twas the site of my first date w/someone and where we spent several good anniversaries together before going our separate ways. It remains quite a nice spot to visit on the way to (and to facilitate the process of) getting to know various folks better/more/deeper.

The rain's pouring down now. The feeling of Home is strong and solid. Loving Hive Magnum and my life here. The future's unknown, but that's okay.

Oh huzzah for movement along the stream in a good direction. Was a good surprise to see you briefly this weekend, party with so many people most of whom were unknown was rather overwhelming...

Yeah, as I drove to the party I all of a sudden realized that I was right by your casa and wondered whether you might be there (overlapping circles 'n' all). I knew lotsa folks there, and don't mind being 'round lotsa strangers. Had a good time, even as I spent most of it chilling downstairs (in the less crowded, cooler area).

There was a downstairs! part of the party?? That might have been a little less over-amping than the noise and crowd upstairs...

Oh, yeah - 'twas far quieter, less crowded, and cooler down there. A fine place to chill out! Next year...

Oh! I adore Astoria. I've stayed at the Cannery Pier Hotel by myself and with a lover and have such great memories. :) ANd the comparison to Paris makes me love it even more. :D
