Today's din-din featured curry (chix & veg) and a b!tchin' butter pecan ice cream: YUMBO. O'morrow's NOT D-land...for which I'm just as pleased. Will instead take care of stuff and things before heading outta town for boots, poetry, chocolate, fishies & jellies, and other good stuff. After o'morrow, August 2005 is OVER, gone, done with, past...never to return 'cept in memory. What's that silly thing 'bout how it's not the moments that have passed that count but rather how you pass the moments? Something to do with passing and moments or along those lines. I think it's saying that you gotta grab life by the balls and...well, that's where the analogy breaks down (or perhaps not). Just what do you wanna do once you've grabbed hold of the balls/short hairs: squeeze, lick, fondle, stroke, yank, caress? Guess "take control" is what I'm trying to say. Poorly. Guess I could erase the last bits and just toss out the final mini-epiphany (tm)...but that's not how it works. The process/pathway counts for a whole lot. Not perhaps always as much as the final whatever (destination/goal/line/result), but sometimes more.

Wow. For some reason I spent much of today thinking it was Wednesday...and near the end of September. But September's not yet come. Much less gone. It's nearing reflection time...time to look back on the year...on what's happened, on what I did, on what I accomplished, on how I felt, on loops completed, on patterns recognized/traced/avoided/ingrained. It's been a good year. And the next one's lookin' to be pretty durned good, too.

Great kiss quote: "A light, gentle, loving kiss such as lovers give each other after desire has been satisfied, after desire has been satisfied many times over months or even years, a kiss of acceptance and trust and deep mutual knowledege." - Ruth Rendell, "High Mysterious Union." It's a quite good, interesting, compelling slightly supernatural/horror poly community story I stumbled across a few daze ago.

I STILL think this mood icon looks like Furballing.
