A Load Off

mlerulesDidn't realize 'til the night before aka this past Tuesday evening that I'd been worrying for many weeks about Wednesday morning's minor surgery. I know I'd been feeling low, and as if I were unable to focus on and/or accomplish much of anything at times for a while now. Now that it's all over - lipoma removed and I've learned that the lump's not anything at all to worry about - I feel a huge, overwhelming sense of relief, a huge weight off.
Spent today very happy to be at home taking care of mundane to-do items. Felt so good to get my hands dirty putting bits of my garden to bed: weeding out the lemon balm that'd begun taking over the entire herb garden, clipping the older thyme to hang dry so the newer shoots can grow w/out competition, planting cover crop in 4/5 of the barrel in front (letting the parsley continue growing in the remaining 1/5), watering, harvesting and cheerfully eating another couple handfuls of sweet, ripe, red cherry tomatoes, adding to & stirring compost, &c.
Very much enjoying the Fall Pall, the extra-long Golden Hours in the afternoon b'c of the sun's shift over to t'other side of the Equator, the lovely sunsets we've been having, and the last gasp of summer's warmth. Forecasts call for 70s & even some low 80s 'til the middle of next week when it'll cool way down and the fog returns.
Will continue getting stuff 'n' things done and moving forward w/particular plans and in various directions.
