Honing In or Continuing Scattershot?

mlerulesProlly gonna continue bouncing back 'n' forth. Seems like it's been a while since I've focused lots rather than wandering willy-nilly from this to that, but perhaps that's more my perception than a true reflection of reality. Not that it matters that much.
'Cept I'm feeling a desire to focus. Perhaps though it's a wide-ranging focus. When out hiking I like to look all around: up at the trees and sky, down at the ground and foliage, up ahead, back behind, all around. Along w/what I see, I've been more aware lately of what I'm hearing, too. Birdsong, the wind in the trees, &c. Mebbe immersion's what I mean by "focus." Mebbe getting out and experiencing what's all around will satisfy this desire some. Mebbe what I'm feeling is a desire to explore s'more (and focus on what's around/going on externally rather than internally).
Right here and now I'm looking within in order to figure out what to do next outside myself. I'm experiencing some serious wanderlust. Lotsa hibernation's been happening, but I'm getting ready to yawn, stretch, emit my morning pterodactyl keen, stretch my wings, and fly once more. Heh, good thing, this, as that's what's on tap upcoming...

hollyteige's here for the weekend. Whenever we get together, there's long deep talkies, which I lurv. I like - and need - sounding boards, both serving as and enjoying benefits of. Mutual = ideal. (As in so many things ;-)
On Merging. Stabbing myself on shafts of realization. Connections can be wonderful. Merging and melding can be mighty. Yet danger lurks in...staying too long together (no, not quite right)...in losing oneself too much or in losing too much of oneself...or in not returning to oneself and/or not having oneself to return to (back to losing oneself). There's a balancing act required: going deep and for a while merging 'n' melding, yet coming back out again, ideally stronger than before...changed for the better.
Meanwhile, working on how to self-identify w/out using roles/r-ships as basis. Instead, gonna use character traits: inquisitive, whimsical, appreciative, with great capacity for joy (and pain), vulnerable yet strong, &c. Heh - sounds a bit like a Johari window. Feel free to click and play along if you like.
