Lovely flight w/plenty of snow-capped mountains today. Left a perfectly sunny day in PDX for another perfectly sunny day at ONT. Only it's warmer here. Tomorrow's forecast here: sunny & 77. In PDX: partially-sunny & 47. Time to soak up the CA sunshine and stock up on warmth 'til Spring returns to the PacNW.

I'd thought 'twould be a mellow week, yet I appear to have packed it fairly full already:

Fri: help AJ&B w/car stuff 'n' things, mebbe Huntington Gardens, hang w/E&T&L in eve

Sat: J-date all day & night! Zoo; labryinth walkies (also w/N, mebbe w/E); lunch (also w/N); dinner somewhere (Koraku/Sherman Oaks?) sometime w/J, S&D, X&P; A Christmas West Side Story w/J, S&D, X&P; followed by whatever...

Sun: hang w/ebony_sphynx (and perhaps D, if'n work permits, and mebbe T, ditto ;-)

Mon: hang w/C&J&D, then back chez AJ bearing Zancou Chicken Feast

Tu: dinner (Fritto Misto/Santa Monica) with & o-nite chez ex-hubby & wife #2

Wed: back chez AJ, eventually prolly not 'til after beach and/or Huntington Gardens

Th: return home

The food was superb. I particularly liked the cauliflower with butter and breadcrumbs and the fennel with bacon and Gruyere cheese. We also had the smoked salmon (read that lox) pizza and it was good. My friend says the risottos are to die for, too. Her daughter goes to Oxy, so they are often in the neighborhood.

Have fun and relax. Soak up the good times. Smell the roses and say hi to Willie Shakes if you go to the Huntington. Twill be a grand time.

Good to know - thx! (My uncle taught at Oxy for years and my cuz went to school there, too, so I know the area somewhat, but haven't been over yonder in ages now.) Will do re: roses 'n' Will if/when I get there :-)
