Just finished it. Really good book. While reading it, I LOL'd in places, cried in others, and thought a whole bunch. I'm guessing that you'll have read (and liked) it already, [livejournal.com profile] heron61, but if not, I highly recommend it to you...and to most everyone else likely to read this mini-review.

I haven't read it yet, though this sounds like vintage Pratchett.

I have another recommendation for you that the title reminds me of: Fuzzy Nation by John Scalzi. It will entertain you and also make you THINK. Scalzi is by far my favorite writer across any genre. I think that princekermit would agree with me.

This Pratchett's actually a YA novel, so mebbe read it and consider if'n the young 'uns might like it, too.

Thx for reco. I did quite like Scalzi's Old Man's War, so'll give Fuzzy Nation a go, too.

Meanwhile, dunno if'n you like a good TV mystery, but if so, I highly recommend "Murdoch Mysteries," a recent (and ongoing) Canadian series. I've quite enjoyed what I've seen so far (nearly half the 1st season).
