Dancing tonight woulda killed me. Or at least severely injured me. Instead, D-land merely exhausted me. Off to bed as soon as I hang up the 'puter.
Inadvertently found yet another marvelous place from which to view the fireworks: in my car on the roof of the Mickey & Friends parking structure. We never even made it to D-land itself. The afternoon began by lunching (liquid w/some solids for a change) at D-town D-ney then getting wet and wild in CA Adventure and listening to great bluegrass & trad'l Amer'can music and finally ended w/din-din before heading out to the car to leave and enjoying the fireworks tremendously. Got up and played washboard during one song. When they decide to skip the good ole music in favor of that olde D-ney stand by, namely "It's A Small World After All," well, let's just say the look on
delerium3's face when she realized what she was playing along to was priceless!!! T'other amusing musical interlude: listened to Hair (NOT Spray) soundtrack this morn then heard muzak version of Dawning of Age of Aquarius whilst in the park this afternoon.
Attractions enjoyed:
Misty Spray Zone (better than nothing, but nothing compared w/BSSZ)
Bug Splash Soak Zone (still slightly damp!)
Boudin Sourdough Tour & Tasting (yum)
Mission Tortilla Factory T&T (yumbo)
Big Orange (swing...weeeee)
Jumpin' Jellyfish (babystep for Tower o' Terror)
Churro (cinnamon & sugar...mmmmm)
Jebadiah Jones & Miner '49ers (GREAT)
Block Party (amusing/fascinating)
Tower o' Terror (far better than remembered)
Soar (Above? Over? Across?) California (love the scents to go w/the sights)
Fireworks (rox)
Good news: Have discovered where to drink in CA Adventure (Margueritas, Micro-Brews, and Keeno Vino)! Whoo-hoo!
Off to BB o'morrow morn. Bear Faire on Sat and perhaps kayaking on Sun. Returning Mon.

Date: 2005-08-15 11:34 pm (UTC)Oh oh oh: you might just LOVE the finger candles in *dang what's the name of the store?* - it's in Dtown D'ney anyway...not Area 51, but something like that (not Studio 54 either, or Car 54 Where Are You?...it's *dang* can't 'member).
