Summer Winding Down

mlerulesSome leaves're turning color, others're falling down...twirling and dancing as they heed gravity...eventually. It's getting cooler more often and darker earlier. delerium3 since she'll disappear for the most part when classes start back up again. Yesterday we wandered down Hawthorne, getting school supplies for her and camping supplies for my upcoming Oh, Canadia trip, savoring the true ugliness of lamps offered for sale, &c. Today we headed West for a nice visit to the Pacific Ocean, opting for Seaside, OR rather than Cannon Beach, OR for a change. Clickie for Pickies
Along w/these mini-adventures, I've found a couple of useful gems amongst the few remaining LJ-posters. These're courtesy ofjimkeller: When we meditate, shut down our yammering brain, and listen to what is inside us already (be that God, our subconscious, a Jungian collective unconscious, the Lord and the Lady, Vishnu, whatever), we really do get answers. Further on, he notes that: "As in life, listening more than talking leads to wisdom."
Oh, so true...
And right now, re: the latter statement, what I'm hearing is a lot of silence. Assigning no meaning(s), but not thinking that no news is good news. Not knowing. Not worrying. What is, is. It's not up to me...that much I've made clear. Ball's not in my court. Dunno even if'n it's been chucked off the playing field altogether or what. No way to know.
