A Big Load Off
May. 4th, 2010 02:43 pmSo, I've finally FOUND my massively misplaced original California Preliminary Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, made a copy of it for my Oregon Substitute Teaching Credential packet, completed the Discrimination & The Oregon Educator reading & self-study materials, had my fingerprints taken at the police department, gathered up all official transcripts & other documents, filled out all forms, double-checked everything, dotted all i's and crossed all t's. I've also sent off a request for the current application packet, since the one I've been working from only applies for those submitted by the end of April 2010. *sigh* Keeping fingers crossed that nothing major or different has been added 'tween the previous one and now. Next up: figuring out the process for getting on substitute teacher lists for the next school year and jumping through those hoops.
I hadn't realized how much of a load off finding this document and completing the packet would be. Not completely outta the woods yet, as I need to compare the new packet w/what I've already pulled together, but hopefully that'll be waiting for me when I return from this next long weekend in SoCal (it's RenFaire season!).
