Another Good Long Weekend

I'm home again home again (jiggidy jig) after a wonderful long weekend. I drove up from the Hive to CopperMoon last Wed, stopping off for racquetball & grocery shopping w/the Amazing lightfoote (ALF) along the way, then prepared Chix Swimming Rama while ALF made numbly brussel sprouts ala siouxiequeue and began his soup stock (beef bones & llama steaks).

I picked ALF & wildwoosi up after work on Thursday for a night on the town. Staying at the quite nice & very reasonable Marqueen Hotel worked out really well for we3. 'Twas SO nice to drive just 10 minutes for sleep rather than over an hour, 'specially after a long afternoon/evening/night of trad'l V-Day w'end STD testing followed by numbly dinner at Pesos, dancing &c. @ the Grind, and finally snacking & visiting w/folks 'til late @ The Night Kitchen.

Friday morning, ALF & I opted to let Her Wildness sleep in s'more and took our bouncy selves out for walkies up dozens and dozens of stairs and to enjoy good views up Queen Anne from the Marqueen. We returned to snag her and head back to Pesos for breakfast, now joined by skarlett & kenllama. We all then wandered Pike Place, stocked up on supplies at World Spice, giggled, talked, hung out, wandering around and variously running into people folks knew but didn't expect to see, enjoyed frozen custard and eventually a late lunch before caravaning over to Soul Food Books for an awesome Darwin Day Bone Poets Orchestra concert where we ran into even more people we knew. Eventually we all ended up crashing back at CopperMoon.

Saturday we danced the kitchen dance at CopperMoon, working & sharing space & stories & spending time together preparing for an evening of Soup Glorious Soup chez vonvoncake & dillenger69. We feasted on French Onion Soup by vonvoncake, 5-Onion Soup by lightfoote, African Peanut Soup by wildwoosi, Hungarian Mushroom Soup by moi-meme, Salad of Doom (w/all the fixin's) by skarlett w/afters of Lemon Sponge Custard by kenllama & two (2) kinds of Strawberry Soup by vonvoncake plus cookies & tea. Mmmmmm! And leftovers!

Yesterday (Sunday), ALF & I had a Very Nice Date in Seattle and then back at CopperMoon while wildwoosi enjoyed fondue & martinis & party goodness out w/friends.

I drove home to the Hive from CopperMoon today and'm now knackered and needing Sleep Glorious Sleep. G'night one & all.
