Cocooning

Not gone, just cocooning. Have a stupendous (not stupid as originally typed) number of pics to organize and share from some marvelous times recently: the CopperMoon Crew SoCal Winged Toad Rip and the previous long w'end when [livejournal.com profile] 1annie1 came up to visit. My plan for slowing down and spending more time at the Hive in 2009 has sorta gotten waylaid through the start of March. Temptation(s) abound.

Okay, as a favor for a Dear Friend I'm typing up much of the playlists to the Bummer & Tearjerker compilations. These tapes (yes, cassettes - I still have most of the dozens of compilations I've ever made along w/the means of playing 'em) were made in the aftermath of big breakups. One's what my ex-hubby made when we broke up (which I got a copy of years later). A couple are mine from when my last long-term (4-year plus living together) r-ship ended: Bummer the month it happened and Bummer II: The Healing approx 6 months later when things were starting to look/feel a bit better. Then there's the Tearjerker series made by another b-friend when we split up. Some of these songs're specific to the r-ship ("our songs" and the like), but many are just classic and/or minor heart-wrenching, gut-churning, tear-jerking tunes.

Perhaps listening to them right now (when I'm exhausted from traveling and being gone for nearly two weeks straight) is NOT such a good idea...but I'm a glutton for punishment/emotional overload, so I'm reveling in it. Okay. I'm just laughing too hard right now at it all. And then the tears recommence...
