Today's feature: ALGEBRA. It's been a Long-@ss Time since I've had to deal w/fractions 'n' exponents, so when delerium3 asks me qx, I tend to look blankly at her. Glad it's not me taking these classes. *shudder*

Keep in mind - the folks who invented algebra are the same folks who invented numerology, notariqon, gematria and temurah. Four wacky ways of turning any number into any other number. This is what happens when you sit in the desert and stare at sheep for generations.

I think there was a misunderstanding somewhere along the line. I got the impression that you were stuck on an algebra problem of some sort that you had described in your journal. I volunteered to offer help with that. I see no math problems. I apologize for the confusion.

You know, I always had trouble with algebra as well. For a computer science major, I was surprisingly poor at math. Or maybe that was because I was so poor at math that I found computer science fascinating. I liked the idea that I could write functions. Sometimes I would see a problem on an algebra quiz, and I could see the way to find the answer quite clearly. However, I did not know how I could express it in a way that the teacher taught, and thus had trouble showing my work. So, sometimes I would write a function in pseudo-code on the quiz sheet, demonstrating how using a function with a repeating loop, I could fund the answer in a certain number of iterations. The teacher would grade me down for this, because he kind of hand to in order to play by the rules, but he told me that he always enjoyed reading my answers the most.

Oh, nope. I'm not having problems. I can solve them, but they only want them re-written. I am twitching. Thanks though.
