How DOES one keep track of all those LJ (and other) friends? How many people can one sustain r-ships with? How many should one try to maintain r-ships with? I find myself at times spending a lot of time on social grooming. My patience with many things (including some people/r-ships) has worn thin over time. Perhaps it's b'c I have a larger number of people in my various social networks that I no longer have to.

EDIT: Not sure why some folks stay in the circle. Often it's up to them. I'm pretty good at keeping in touch. It's easier if'n they try, too, though. It's tough doing all the work. Sometimes folks wander outta my life. Sometimes it's okay. Other times it's really too bad. One of my previous life mottos was "Nothing Lasts Forever." Even if'n it's true, I no longer let it rule my life quite so much. Am much better w/flow and flux.

Some people's schedules just don't mesh so well w/mine. One friend's summers tend to be jam-packed full of work stuff, while I typically have time off in the summers to play...even if the schedule does get jam-packed full of fun stuff. She's off to Bermuda for a week starting this w'end (for work) then will prolly spend much time during the summer on Catalina (again for work). Still, we'll find time to catch up and relax and hang out and have fun.
