Spawned by this funky device for measuring same. Perhaps the time as come to reveal all the facts kept hidden so long by the core conspirators dedicated to keeping ether to our/themselves by convincing people it doesn't exist. Is the world ready? (Um, yeah, probably...but THEN what to do w/it?) The Ether Gap could prove worrisome. *returns to laboratory to dream up more experiments*

Check out ligo interferometers. They're devices for measuring gravity waves, something predicted by general relativity but still not observed. Making it sensitive enough to detect and managing to get rid of local interference is a really hard problem. Then you have to wait for a supernova to send a pulse of gravity across us (more frequent than you'd think)... so this sort of represents science's current quest to measure the folds in the aether...

and if we're going to promote the ether, we have to spell it aether. There just aren't enough words with the cool ae in them to waste an opportunity to use it. :)

And true, but I wish my keyboard had the neato ae-combo thingie like my olde typewriter had!
