mlerulesUpon waking up and looking at the clock reading 6:42, I wasn't sure whether 'twas 6:42 pm (this eve) or 6:42 am (o'morrow morning), which I found a tad disconcerting. Just looked at my GoogleCalendar...GULP! So, apparently I'm flying to the Bay Area THIS Friday for Dickens on Saturday then flying back home on Sunday. Dunno yet where I'm sleeping Sat night. Should prolly look into this pretty soon.

delerium3 will be over doing the last painty bits of the nasturtium border in my living room from next (not this) Mon-Wed (I believe). Have folks to visit and see when she's here. Then it's Yule 'n' Winter Solstice and all that up in WA w/Vorpal Bunnies and CopperMoon, followed by x-mas w/fambily 'n' friends in the Bay Area.
Option 1: Drive from CopperMoon (4 hours NE of PDX) to Ashland on Sun, 12/23/07 (long haul), then the rest of the way to Carmel Highlands on Mon, 12/24/07 (another long haul) for x-mas #1 w/Mal 'n' Al, drive up to San Jose on Wed, 12/26/07, for x-mas #2 w/Mom & J on Th, 12/27/07, then head home again on Fri, 12/28/07 & Sat, 12/29/07 (and mebbe Sun, 12/30/07 - potentially via Mendocino/Ft Bragg area).
Option 2: I just went ahead and got tix for FLYING to the Bay Area for the holidays (PDX-SJC on Mon, 12/24/07, returning Sun, 12/30/07). I can cancel 'em if'n I so desire (thank goodness for freebies from my credit card), but at least it's an option that requires far less driving. After the recent weather-related travel complications, I have concerns 'bout the viability and wisdom of planning serious long-distance driving trips in December.
Meanwhile, I've left a phone msg for a potential house/cat-sitter for when I'm gone (approx 12/21-30/07, but mebbe just 12/24-30/07), as that's my primary concern at this time. It'll all work out somehow...but I admit to starting to stress a bit about everything, likely exacerbated by exhaustion. Mind starting to spin.
Okay. Focusing more on the here and now. After a good phone call w/thesaruswrex, THIS week's starting to take shape. Mid-day o'morrow (Mon) he'll head over and we'll hang out, then mebbe head up to Seattle for the day on Tuesday. Get to see him some again at Dickens on Saturday (assuming he makes it - he's driving). Yeah, I've got various friends who make me seem like a stay-at-home stick-in-the-mud. ;-)
Meanwhile, my heart's once again - STILL, really - full to bursting...if'n I could sing, I would be doing so, loudly and proudly. I want to say something about my recent mind-blowing experiences, but that's too simple - 'twas more than mind, 'twas (and 'tis) body/soul/heart/world-expanding. Marvelous. Glorious. Shattering (in a really GOOD & POSITIVE way). Hands and hearts and bodies and souls intertwined. Happy-making.
