Lots of nothingness, burned out craters, smoking steaming heaps of charred-ness (of what I don't even wanna think any more), twisty routes through warrens o' hulking structures, shifting shadows, no rhyme, no reason, no purpose. Who knew 'twas so damned dark down the rabbit hole? Metaphorically as well as physically dark, mind you.

It's daylight out now. I think this means I'm supposed to get up and do stuff or something. There's a short list from yesterday I can pull out and attack...and perhaps gain a feeling of accomplishment from knocking off items on it.

Being in the here, being in the now: quite odd: no mood, blah...neutral. Not bad, mind you, just not particularly...ANYTHING. My mind starts thinking 'bout ways to improve the mood, to...lighten up perhaps. Music'd likely shift things. But I think I'm gonna revel in it as it is for a while. Uh oh. Just starting to think 'bout it has shifted things...starting to think of things to do.

Ya' know what though, I'd like not to think for a while, I'd like just to be. Hmm. Too late.

Yer describing a kind of numbness that a lot of folks feel when faced with that kind of scene/scenario... most people don't much like that kind of devestation any more than you'd expect, and react accordingly!

Makes you wonder if your subconcious was using it as a metaphor for feeling worn out or worn down, tho... especially if you wake up to feel like you wish you COULD just exist and not think. :/

Oh, yeah - the whole feeling DONE and burnt out literally depicted to match the metaphorical makes a whole lotta sense to me, too. It's not very often I remember my dreams, so I try to capture 'em in words/images when I can.

ph34r = fear, teh = the, sp000ky = spooky.
In other words, "Oh my, that is indeed quite macabre, isn't it?"

The dream analysis books will tell you that post-apocalyptic dreams are about having left behind your past and facing an uncertain future. I don't think you need your dreams to tell you that as long as you're moving forward, you're going in the right direction, even if you haven't sighted a destination yet...
