Autumn's Arrived
Sep. 23rd, 2007 06:04 pmThe skies have been lovely recently: blue w/great clouds, mixed white and grey. This is something so special after decades of blue blue blue w/hardly anything breaking up the monotony. Hush re: the coming grey monotony...I'll deal w/it when it descends and in the meantime am storing up good memories and look-forward-to-moments...what're these sorts of future memories called? Hopes? Futuroid rememberances? I've noticed a special soft-yet-bright yellow colorization in/to the sky in the late afternoon recently. The Golden Hour's not as SOMETHING (cannot put my finger on it) as down South, but it's delightful. Makes me want to sit down and enjoy the view that much more. We're also getting some great winds in the afternoon, blowing the leaves around (colorful leaves!), making the wind chimes jingle, cooling off the air even more. Summer's gone. Autumn's here. I get to follow along the seasons. I'm happy.
I've now shifted the filing cabinet and contents from the guest bedroom up to the attic cum office. Still need to sort, cull, and put everything back properly/sensibly, but at least that's well on the way. Also shifted a couple of bookcases outta the living room into the guest bedroom and hallway. Still more to do, but forward progress feels good. Breaking now w/the kitties clustering around me. Getting laundry done in the midst of all this makes me feel extra-special productive.
