On Being Torn
Sep. 9th, 2007 11:35 pmI'm having a FAB time here in the Bay Area w/the mega-extended fambily. So much good stuff today...cannot even begin to cover it so'll only mention a few bits 'bout one aspect: music w/dancing and dancing w/music at the Solano Stroll. It ran the gamut from funk, R&B, ska, classic rock, mod-prog-rock, surf music to 1920's jazz w/tap dancing, Scottish Country Dancing, Morris Dancing, other misc folk dancing, Cajun music w/dancing, the Royal Hawaiian Ukelele Band w/hula, and more! And there're tons more things to do over the next few months, including but not limited to Folsom Street Fair, NoCal RenFaire, Thxgiving w/fambily and/or friends, X-mas Revels, Dickens X-mas Fair. In SoCal, I wanna visit people and see the Troubadour Theatre Co's holiday special: It's A Charlie James Brown X-mas (11/28/07 - 01/13/08 at the Falcon Theatre in Burbank). BUT...um, but what? Oh, yeah - I don't live in CA any longer. *sigh* Mebbe there're equally fun 'n' interesting things to do in the PacNW but I just don't know 'bout 'em yet.
Heading Northward (as in HOME to PDX) again on Tu, 9/18/07.
