Complementary Roles
Aug. 23rd, 2007 12:56 pmCan r-ships exist in a vacuum? Is this not a good (wise/helpful) way to look at matters? It's not so much a vacuum as a bedrock. I'm very much looking forward to shifting w/the seasons.
This week's (Virgo) horoscope seems apt:
Are you ready to leave the past behind, drop all your assumptions, welcome the return of your innocence, adopt a beginner's mind, and start fresh everywhere? I hope so, because that's what the universe will be nudging you to do. Here are some words of wisdom to incite you and arouse you. (1) "You don’t know what you can get away with until you try." - Colin Powell. (2) "Never underestimate your power to change yourself." - H. Jackson Brown, Jr. (3) "If opportunity doesn't knock, build a door." - my friend Lucy Spinner. (4) "God calls you to the place where your deep gladness and the world's deep hunger meet." - Frederick Buechner.

I am right here right now. At any one moment in time, however, I'm also rooted to the past as well as the future, even though the latter's far more nebulous. Only that's not really so. I've got several clear visions of possibilities...and I know that others exist of which I remain (for now) unaware. But I've got a good imagination so'll likely come up w/other alternatives as well. It's quite possible to live in this fantasy life, experiencing emotions as strong and sharp (and deep? Perhaps...). Yet I want to experience what really happens, too. Wait and see's the attitude. Not yet time to move onto a new life motto...or mebbe 'tis. "Curious, But Not Committed." Perhaps it's time to commit to... Nope. Not going there.
To a sensuous existence... As a backdrop for doing whatever else life calls for...
Now to get back to it. IT = living life.
Hmm, just realized I never even addressed the subject matter of this post. Something something something 'bout how folks'll sometimes play complementary roles w/in a r-ship and how things can get tricky when you play one role here and another there. Still, switching seems natural. Oh, so many places to go from here...
