Frankly, the only thing that surprised me was how long it has taken. God forbid if he gets to appoint another justice before the end of his term.
Thank god(ess) for mid-term elections and the fact that the "line item veto" never came to pass... or we would have a total erasure of any sense of "checks and balances".
