Realization Re: PaperCrap
Mar. 27th, 2007 10:43 pmI must not overbook myself. I want to keep on top of paperwork, filing, taking care of things 'n' stuff so I don't have to deal w/a pile/stack/box of complete and utter crap with some important stuff mixed in. Wanna come up w/systems, processes 'n' procedures to deal w/stuff quickly and efficiently and right away...which'll only work if'n I'm not exhausted from having fun and/or dealing w/other stuff w/out also doing what's req'd vis-a-vis PaperCrap.
Took care of insurance stuff today. Spent two (2) hours w/the insurance agent getting all set up w/car insurance and renter's insurance. If'n a huge earthquake hits the PacNW in the next six (6) months, I'm very sorry...but after living in CA nearly my whole life I opted to pay the add'l $13 for the E-quake ins, just in case.
Everyone I've dealt with up here - from ins agents to utility company agents to store employees to public employees (e.g., DMV staff) to random folks on the street - is SO friendly and helpful and nice. If'n I were prone to paranoia/conspiracy theories I'd be checking behind bushes for pods and/or wires. ;-)
Had all sorts of bright ideas earlier for posting...but they've fled or gone underground or evaporated or otherwise disappeared. I'm exhausted now. Gotta get up early o'morrow morn 'cause the cable guy/gal's gonna arrive 'tween 8 & 10am to hook up the cable modem (my own high-speed connection!), cable TV (for what it's worth), and land-line ph svc. (They offered a great deal for all 3 so I'll do it.) Hmm. Guess I better search through all boxes to find my phone & router. *sigh* *YAWN* - I'll get up and do it in the morning. Dunno why I'm so beat. Doesn't much matter. Sleep beckons, so after a hot shower I'll crawl into bed w/whichever kittenheads feel like joining me and call it a day.
