mlerulesMy mentor teacher in the 1st grade classroom in which I'm doing my student teaching managed to show up today w/out wearing a speck of green. A few other teachers were similarly improperly dressed. Now I DO understand that they're not of Irish extraction...but if we're gonna spend the past two (2) weeks on shamrock, leprachaun, pot o' gold, and other specific St P's Day projects and math/language arts (fka English) tie-ins, then dontcha think it behooves 'em to do what's expected on the friggin' day itself?! Either ignore it completely or play along - don't make it a big deal only to then ignore the most basic requirement of all.
Veddy sorry to miss the House o' Blues Poxy B's show, but it's happening on a school night and behind the Orange Curtain, so it's just not on for me this year. Next year March 17th falls on a Friday and far more fun will be had by moi meme!
