Rice Gone Wild

mlerulesI'm on-line now b'c when I reached in to pull out the bag of brown rice from the back of the cupboard it split open and spilled all over the place. I'm not gonna cry over spillt rice, but I am taking a short break before dealing w/cleaning up the shelf 'twas on, the shelf below, and the floor...mild teeth gnashing and head shaking at such silliness.
Gonna try my hand at a new dish tonight. 2 vegetarians are coming over for din-din so I'm doing a modified Moosewood recipe involving stir-fry veggies and tofu and a Tamari-Ginger sauce I made and marinated the tofu in overnight. Guess it'll be over white rice after all.
And then: Finn McCool's for Irish moosic - yay! Approx 8:15pm - 2700 Main St (at Ashland), Sta Monica. It's free, but it's nice if'n you buy a coke or something since it is a bar/restaurant - or heck, get a Guinness (on tap) or a full mean (yumbly chow). Various musicians come together and play every Tuesday - always quite enjoyable to hear.
