Spring Cleaning
Jan. 30th, 2022 01:03 pmI've let things at home slide quite a bit since the 'rents left after the holidays and then water-remediation required lot of shifting of stuff and things in the dining / living room. Trying not to feel too bad about it all, and poking at bits here and there. I have a fairly high clutter tolerance, but find the gaping holes in the ceiling and wall disturbing, and the torn-off plaster areas distracting. Realizing I'm feeling anxious about the upcoming (but not for weeks...gah) roof-repair and dining room rebuild projects.
Back when I had folks over for gaming weekly, the house stayed in far better shape. Now it's gonna take some doing to return it to Parent/Visitor-Worthy status. It cannot happen fully until after the work's all done, so not for another month-ish. Okay. Guess I'll have to accept how it is now for a while longer and try not to fret too much. Breathing better now.
I have some garden-work to do in the next few weeks, which'll make me feel better. Need to get pots and soil and seeds, prune the backyard roses and Groot, repot some plants from cuttings now rooted - spreading love in the process, &c.
