Friendly Folks & Snow Drifts

Today did not go as planned. Hiking around Lost Lake didn't happen. Much ultimately fruitless digging and wedging and rocking occurred, yet my car remains stuck fast in the snow drift. Hoping it'll get towed out tomorrow. On a positive note, the oh-so-kind folks who pulled over to help us out ended up driving us all the way back home, as one of 'em lives literally 3 blocks away from my friends. I ended up hanging out and having dinner w/my friends and then taking a late bus home, which was quite nice. Fingers x-d that the tow truck can get my car out tomorrow, as that'll make it all a good story, rather than merely a bad situation. Not worrying too much yet. Gonna go sleepy-bye now before the EEP!-factor kicks in too much though.

Phew!

Apparently what the tow company told me yesterday was B.S. They had no trouble whatsoever this afternoon hauling my car outta/off of the snow where it'd gotten stuck yesterday. PHEW! That was a huge load off. Yay for the kindness of strangers yesterday and good friends today.

Got little sleep last night b'c of worry, and what I did manage was filled w/massively stress-filled dreams. Drove home the scenic route today, which helped calm me down even more then getting the car back. Hopefully the rattling noise(s) aren't the symptom of too much of a problem. *sigh* Am taking the car in first thing tomorrow morning to have it checked out (and for LOF, which is just about due anyway). Exhausted now, so'll pumpkin shortly.
