Muddling Through
Sep. 19th, 2011 09:59 amIdeals don't always match reality. Promulgated bits o' wisdom don't always get followed as well as one might like. Practicing what one preaches ain't always easy. Your story is your truth. Mine is mine. When folks' stories overlap, shared histories can result. When they no longer mesh, future paths get cut off.
I walked the labyrinth at Harbin Hot Springs a few days ago. I reminded myself of my mantra for my last l-walk: "Grace Under Pressure." Little had I realized how relevant this would continue to be. Now though, now I'm free...free to walk on my own, free to build my world here w/out waiting for others. We will not build it together. That's not the plan.
My vision is my own. My future is my own. Where will it lead, how will it pan out? Dunno. But I've got a good solid network of support, great friends, amazing people, and I'll get through this.
I will love again, and be loved... (And I am, but not quite "like that." Or mebbe that's ridiculous.)
