No, it doesn't actually feel anything like job-work, although 'tis my usual commute these days. I'm gonna zoom Northward for the long-awaited Super-Secret-Squirrel But No-Longer-A-Surprise Bunny B-day we3 weekend.

wildwoosi & I have ganged up and will whisk lightfoote away for a belated b-day celebration, to begin w/the playing (as we travel early o'morrow morning) our 1st joint CD compilation (truly squee-worthy, IMHO*2). Still, since I haven't told YOU where we're taking him, it'll still serve as a surprise for my trusted readers.*3

Heh, gotta love how my footnotes've ended up going on nearly as long as my text. Or hate it. Or stay neutral and disinterested. Hell, regardless: stop reading the screen and get outside - it's GORGEOUS OUT. That's where I'm headed... Well, after a session of company-keeping w/jaylake as he gets his Commemorative Battle w/Cancer tattoo*4 this morning.


*1 In my head, I'm filking the Tom Waits cover of the Disney/7 Dwarves Mining Song, just FYI. Ayup, it's post-SMurF season...and my throat's still not yet back to normbl.

Nah, unlike education - where we're told to Grab A Kid's Interest and essentially exhorted to ENTERTAIN, I shall stick to reporting (albeit now 'n' again in a mildly amusing fashion, perhaps ;-), and, most importantly, JOURNALING, as that's the name of the game after all (Live Journal). *4 I smile, as I got my 1st tattoo w/specific thought and goal of celebrating a new phase of my life after the break-up of my last long-term live-in mono r-ship (just over a decade ago). Battles & conquerings're indeed worth noting.

The morning began w/a visit to Sea Tramp Tattoo Co.* to hang out w/jaylake and kenscholes while the former got his pre-chemo tattoo commemorating his successful battles so far against his nemesis cancer(s). The process was well photodocumented. Once he makes it through this next round (chemo 'n' surgery), he'll add s'more.

Then I zoomed up to Washington to snag the Amazing lightfoote (ALF) from the gym (perfect timing!) so we could head over to NWOC** in Seattle to grab some last minute stuff for his upcoming sea-kayaking adventure on Orcas Island (site of the no-longer Super-Secret-Squirrel (SSS) Bunny B-day we3 weekend, which'll start w/the enjoyment of the first compilation CD created by me 'n' my partner in SSS sneakiness wildwoosi early o'morrow morning as we3 scamper over to Anacortes to catch the ferry). I took photos of daffodils while ALF prepared Snuffkin (his sea kayak). Here're photos from this afternoon. I'm messing about w/different camera settings, trying to figure out what they do.
