So, we3've now finished watching all three (3) Lord of the Rings movies (and're now watching the extras). Good timing, as last weekend a bunch of friends of mine (and new folks...and folks I know from other circles who're now connecting in different ways w/folks I know here) got together once again for the annual (now for over three (3) decades) Middle-earth Fellowship weekend: dressing & staying in character all weekend, w/events (knife throwing, archery, riddles, mushroom cooking, pipe-ring blowing, beer & wine tasting, &c.), feasting, and comradery (sp). I haven't been since I moved to the PacNW from SoCal, although I have been in SoCal for MEF Yule and methinks some other MEF event w/a bunch of these people in the past few years. I miss it and them. Too much to do, too little time...

And in a lighter vein,

lightfoote has just declared that he wants to filk/make a new film: The Texas Weed-Wacker Massacre. Yeah, there's back-story here that I shan't go into... HEE!
