Calculations re: Time @ Home &c.

2008: 16 weekends at the Hive, 18 weekends at CopperMoon, 18 weekends elsewhere (5 of 'em in SoCal)

2009: 22 weekends at the Hive, 20 weekends at CopperMoon, 10 weekends elsewhere (4 of 'em in SoCal)

Mind you, my "weekends" run 4-7 days. In 2009 I spent a solid week-and-a-half in April & three (3) straight weeks in July at CopperMoon.

So, I remember quite distinctly declaring that one of the things I looked forward to when I moved to Portland was that I'd be slowing down and staying home more and not traveling so much. Heh.

I'm FREE! (thx for the ritual, 1annie1)

Time to blast "I'm Free!" as per tradition, since I just took my last quiz for my History of Oregon class. I did well enough on last week's (which I just picked up) and on the one I just took that I can bail on the last day of class (and its quiz and extra credit quiz) since he drops the lowest grade (which'll be the zero from next week's no-show quiz) when calculating grades and I've got an A all sewn up now.

Gonna go back for lecture now though, b'c I'm taking the class for information/education/fun. Dancing the happy dance of joy will happen later (in a bit over 3 hours) when it's all over, although my toes're tapping already...

Let the Wild Rumpus Commence

I didn't even realize how much of a release and a relief ending this class would entail, but phew it feels so good to be done. I'm Free! And o'morrow I fly to the Bay Area for Dickens and to see/hang out w/friends and fambily.

Likely I'll wander around Art Attack some tomorrow evening. I'd like to poke my head into The Bone Room to check out the current art show "Dream Links To Nature: Biomythic Masks and Insect Portraits" in their new space (right next door) - it looks fascinating.

Apparently there's a local Zydeco thingie (w/music, food, &c.) happening on Saturday night which could be fun 'n' interesting as well.
