Gonna Crash Go Boom Now

All packed but the last-minute stuff (phone chargers, pillow, and 'puter). Sleep doesn't beckon so much as raise its sledgehammer eyes and wham me down into the bed. Will get plenty of sleep tonight...assuming I can sleep what w/the excitement 'n' all. Wheeeee!

Ready For Summertime & On The Road Again (OK - Flying Above It)

It's been grey, drizzly, and wet for the past couple of days here in Portland. Forecast claims it's supposed to be clear and mid-70s - mid-80s here this weekend w/nights down to 40s & 50s. Where I'm headed (SoCal), it's forecast to be clear, sunny, and low-mid-80s, cooling off to high 50s/low 60s at night. This'll be a pleasant change. I fully expect the weather to have shifted warmer by the time I return to the PacNW. (Peeks out to see if'n anybody's listening/paying attention ;-)

I'm up and ready to GO!

EDIT: Mid-90s expected in Agoura Hills this Sunday, where the 49th annual Topanga Banjo/Fiddle Contest & Folk Festival will be taking place. I'm torn 'tween wanting to return to this - it's been lots of fun before - and not wanting to swelter so instead heading to the beach (although it's highly likely I'd not be the only one w/this idea...sigh). Will wait & see and do what feels right then...
