Do you remember growing up every now and again the radio would let you know it was about to conduct a test of the Emergency Broadcast System, then bleat several times, spray out white noise, letcha know if it's only a test, then return you to the regularly scheduled programming? Well, I just heard the trad'l bleat bleat bleat...and this time IT WAS REAL: the Nat'l Weather System announcing flash flood warning for the Harvard burn area (hills above Burbank and thereabouts).

I'd plan to leave for the valley at 9:30am for arrival 'tween 10 and 10:30am. Now I'm gonna leave a bit earlier and still expect to get there a bit later than hoped...unless the fwy gods clear the path for me. Still, I love rain - and we need it...and this helps the chances of SNOW in Big Bear next w'end!
