mlerulesOne (1) year ago exactly (late x-mas eve) I was shopping for last minute gifts for a surprise-arrival newborn w/a friend for his brand new (surprise!) niece.
Had a full x-mas feast this eve (turkey w/fixings followed by flaming persimmon pudding) w/gifts. Will redo the affair (w/mostly different personnel) o'morrow. Yay for extended fambilies. Being single keeps the travelling and eating & celebrating to a low roar, otherwise it'd be yet another one or two sets of arrangements to make and sets of folks to juggle. Will do another x-mas thingie w/a couple friends down South next week sometime. Phew!
Looking forward to heading home in a few days. It's been a good visit, but time's playing its l'il tricks on my mind again (or my mind's playing tricks itself) and I feel as if I've been gone for weeks and weeks and weeks.
