Two (2) Weeks from Full Vax Status!

OMG - The Bounce from this AM's jab #2 is EXTREME! It reminds me of the gleeful joyousness of getting my first vax appointment. At some point after the first shot, I hit a wall of "WTF, NOW WHAT?! It's nowhere near over..." But now that I've gotten poked twice, and the BF's 2nd's scheduled for 15 May, I've returned to a serious YayPhew phase of heartfelt relief. Doing the Happy Happy Joy Joy dance! I'm now giving myself a few days of not worrying about anything. Hydrating lots, ditto moving my vax'd arm. Canceled today's tentative hike in order to avoid over-doing anything, because I know myself well enough to know that's a definite possibility. Self-knowledge acted upon may be a sign of maturity, or something. ;-P

Congratulations! (On a humorous side note, in my first read-through of your post, I tried to figure out what "hydrating lots" meant. I know, I know -- duh. But my first thought was you running through a yard with the sprinklers running. That's our language!)

How do you feel about the shift of "game" from primarily a noun to a verb as well, as in to play games, or "gamer" as one who plays games?

Do you read "A Word A Day"? Last week was devoted to verbing nouns and nouning verbs. :) That daily piece and "A Way With Words" on public radio have helped make me more comfortable with changes in the language. So, I'm okay with "gaming" and such. (But don't worry -- there are plenty of things that still rattle me!)
