Quickie Recap
Oct. 25th, 2013 09:33 amSo, I moved. The movers came and moved most of the stuff, then friends and I packed up and moved the rest of the kitchen over the weekend (the one before last). Finally, on my final day at the old Hive, when the landlady was painting the walls (keeping the Art Nouveau nasturtium border!) in preparation for the new tenants (4 20-somethings who'll pay nearly 25% more than what I paid monthly), I walked over and rode my bicycle back.
Now I'm bouncing back and forth between unpacking and settling in, dealing w/what needs dealing with (ah, homeownership, when spending a couple of hours on-line searching for the just the right clothes drying rack is fun), and getting out and about enjoying a lovely warm ('til today) Fall. I've already had one house-guest, so the guest room's in decent shape. Three (3) arrive this evening though, so I'm scrambling to figure out a box-free zone for the 3rd. Luckily my step-niece is young (22) and'll sleep whereEVER.
Here're a few pics from recent adventurings (w/more available at my Flickr set o' sets):
